Admission Requirements
The Tennessee Technology Center at Oneida/Huntsville shall admit applicants to all programs on a "first-come, first-serve" basis with the following minimum requirements. Practical Nursing, Cosmetology, admission requirements follow guidelines specified by the certifying state agencies for those programs.
General Admission Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or GED
- Complete and submit an Application for Enrollment
- Interview with the Coordinator of Student Services
- Have a definite occupational goal
- Submit Immunization documentation
Cosmetology Admission Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or GED
- Submit evidence of at least ten 910) high school credits or submit evidence of a high school diploma or have obtained a score of at least four hundred and fifty (450) on a GED test prior to completion of the program.
- Complete and submit an Application for Enrollment
- Interview with the Coordinator of Student Services
- Have a definite occupational goal
- Submit Immunization documentation
Practical Nursing Admission Requirements
- Complete and submit the Practical Nursing Application for Enrollment or online application
- Meet the minimum qualification on the Compass Entrance Test.
- Submit evidence of a high school diploma or GED
- Submit evidence of American Heart Association First Aid/CPR certification
- Submit three work references or character references
- Submit a health record (physician's examination report) and immunization documentation
- Attend an orientation session
- Be approved by the Practical Nursing Advisory Committee
